ScaFi-Web: A Web-Based Application for Field-Based Coordination Programming

Field-based coordination is a model for expressing the logic of large-scale adaptive systems, composing functional blocks from global perspective. As any model, proper toolchain must be developed to support its adoption across all development phases. Under this point view, ScaFi toolkit provides language (field calculus) as DSL internal in Scala language, library reusable building blocks, and an infrastructure simulation distributed deployments. In work, we enrich such by introducing ScaFi-Web, web-based application allowing in-browser editing, execution, visualisation programs. ScaFi-Web facilitates access technology flattening learning curve simplifying configuration requirements, thus promoting agile prototyping field-based specifications. turn, opens door easier demonstrations experimentation, also constitutes stepping stone towards monitoring control simulated/deployed systems.
